Rockford: What Is Marxism All About? – Study group hosted by Rockford FIST (Jan 4)

On January 4th, we’re starting our study group on our newly republished book “What Is Marxism All About?” We invite everyone to join us at the downtown library (exact room info will be updated shortly) to read and discuss the topics covered. We will also have copies of the books for sale for only $8 so you can continue to read at home and share with your friends.

Book description:
“A guide for activists that explains Marxist concepts in non-tecnical language. Terms like “imperialism”, “self-determination” and “socialism” are defined and illustrated. The Marxist definitions of these words help sharpen an understanding of society from a working class perspective. This book is a must-read for students and youth organizers involved in many different struggles.

This publication is a revision of a pamphlet of the same name published in 1975. This book was revised and edited by young activists in FIST to give an updated and relevant analysis of the conditions faced by workers, oppressed people and youth in today’s capitalist society.”
